Composer / Vocalist
Sakiko Sakuragi is a leading Japanese game composer having worked on iconic titles such as “Resident Evil 2,” “FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE” and “FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH.”
Her dynamic, masterful music takes the listener on a riveting emotional journey with powerful modern orchestral arrangements, cinematic percussion and vocals that she sings and records. A master of cinematic storytelling through music, her critically acclaimed music sounds otherworldly, unique, memorable and emotionally resonant.
Sakiko’s music has received multiple awards - “Standing Woman” Best Soundtrack in Unrestricted View Film Festival, “Resident Evil 2” - Best Audio in Golden Joystick Awards, “FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE” - Best Music and Score in The Game Awards, “FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH” - Best Music in BAFTA Games Awards and Best Music and Score in The Game Awards.
Sakiko learned classical piano since age 6, and also studied voice and acting since adolescence. She fell in love with the Role Playing Games which ignited her passion for game scoring.
In addition to scoring, she is experienced in game music implementation and is certified in Wwise-201 and has worked for two leading studios, OM Factory and INSPION.
Currently she is working on an upcoming AAA game.
